UHS Information Regarding Mask Policy, Hours and Appointments

University Health Services (UHS), located on campus at 150 Infirmary Way, strives to provide compassionate, quality healthcare to the UMass community year-round. Here is some essential information on using UHS this fall:

Masks are required for all patients and staff of UHS. Please put on your mask before entering the building. If you are not wearing a surgical-style mask, our staff will provide you with one.

UHS is open by appointment, seven days a week. For the fall semester, hours of operation are:

Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Check the website for holiday hours.

How to contact us for care:
To make a same-day or future appointment, call 413-577-5101.

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, you should test immediately and self-isolate until you receive your test results. Unobserved testing is a free and flexible option that allows you to pick up a testing kit at the Public Health Promotion Center (Campus Center, first floor) and drop off a completed kit, at your convenience, at any of our kiosks across campus. See the list of drop-off kiosk locations.

UHS will continue to offer symptomatic testing by appointment.

For health advice and medical questions, submit the Minute Nurse Triage Form on the UMass Patient Portal under “Forms.” A nurse will respond the same business day if you submit this form up until one hour before closing time.

Health advice is available after hours by calling 413-577-5229.

For urgent, non-life-threatening health concerns that cannot wait for an appointment, you can come to UHS right away when we are open.

In a life-threatening emergency, always call 9-1-1 for ambulance transportation to a hospital.

We look forward to serving you this semester. Be well and let us know if you have any questions.
