Trisha Amaral Named President-elect of NEACRAO

Trisha Amaral, associate registrar for systems and operations, has been nominated and confirmed as the next president of the New England Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (NEACRAO), a regional organization that supports more than 700 professionals at 130 institutions. She will serve a three-year term as the organization’s 75th president. Prior to this role, Amaral served for several years as NEACRAO’s co-chair for exhibits.

“I am honored to be named president-elect of NEACRAO.  The organization has meant so much to me in my professional life and I look forward to giving back to such a great group,” Amaral said.

Amaral earned a B.S. in finance and a master of business administration from UMass Dartmouth, which is also where she began her professional career as a systems manager in student housing. She joined the University Registrar’s office in 2012 as a systems analyst and was promoted to her current associate registrar role in 2017.  Trisha is recognized across campus as a leader in SPIRE student records innovation.
