Transition Date from e-Protocol to Kuali Changed

The transition of e-Protocol for both human subjects (IRB) and animal subjects (IACUC) to Kuali Research has been rescheduled to address a technical matter related to loading students as protocol personnel or protocol directors. Kuali will be available for IRB and IACUC starting Tuesday, Oct. 15 (previously Sept. 9). Transition details are below.

Human Subjects - IRB: 

  • Monday, Sept. 30: Last day to submit all new protocols, revisions, or renewals in e-Protocol for the Oct. 8 IRB meeting. Please note: the IRB office will not accept any submissions in e-protocol beginning Oct. 1. 
  • From Monday, Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 a.m., neither e-Protocol nor Kuali Research eRA system (IRB module) will be available to allow for data migration.
  • Kuali Research eRA system will be available for IRB submissions starting Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 a.m.

Animal Subjects – IACUC: 

  • The last day to submit all cloned protocols and major amendments is Friday, Sept. 27.
  • The last day to submit all renewals and minor amendments is Friday, Oct. 4.
  • From Friday, Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 a.m. neither e-Protocol nor Kuali Research eRA system (IACUC module) will be available to allow for data migration.
  • Kuali Research eRA system will be available for IACUC submissions starting Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 a.m.
