Tracy to be Profiled in Chinese Journal Interview

An interview with Distinguished Professor of Afro-American studies Steven C. Tracy will be published in the “Journal of Shandong Foreign Language Teaching” in China in December 2019.

The interview, conducted and translated into Chinese by Fulbright scholar Grace Zhang, deals with Tracy’s long career as a scholar of literature and music, professor, author and musician.

Tracy’s many publications on a variety of subjects prompted his earliest invitations to China thirteen years ago, capped by his appointment as Distinguished Overseas Professor by the Chinese Ministry of Education at Central China Normal University.

His multiple visits to various universities around China have attracted over thirty visiting and Fulbright scholars to study with him at UMass, as well as graduate students in the Afro-American Studies Ph.D. program.
