Supporting Students’ Mental Health Through Trauma-aware Teaching
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is hosting a webinar on trauma-aware teaching on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.
This interactive session will help participants understand trauma and toxic stress and its impact on learning, discuss potential signals of mental health difficulties, and think about how to apply key principles of trauma-aware teaching to create caring learning environments that support students’ mental health and well-being.
The webinar will be co-facilitated by Emma Anderson (director of inclusive education and teaching support, College of Information and Computer Sciences) and Kirsten Helmer (director of programming for diversity, equity and inclusion, CTL). It is co-sponsored by the College of Engineering and the College of Information and Computer Sciences.
