Suárez Co-authors NASEM Article on Engaging Young Children in STEM
Enrique Suárez, education, is co-author of a National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medication (NASEM) report that highlights strategies for engaging preschool and elementary age children in science and engineering education.
“Science and Engineering in Preschool through Elementary Grades: The Brilliance of Children and the Strengths of Educators” is published by NASEM.
The report also suggests that introducing children to sophisticated STEM concepts has long term extracurricular benefits, including making connections between school work and daily life.
