On May 2, the faculty senate approved retitling the Bachelor of Science degree in “Mathematics and Statistics with a concentration in Statistics and Data Science” to a new stand-alone B.S. degree, “Statistics and Data Science.” The B.S. degree in “Mathematics” will also continue with all other existing concentrations.

The Board of Higher Education has also approved this retitling and this degree may now be listed in the Common Application and existing students may transfer into this degree program.
