Spring Open House to Welcome Thousands on April 8

The campus will welcome thousands of visitors on Sunday, April 8 for the annual Spring Open House for Admitted Students and Families.

The event offers students about to begin their college careers an in-depth view of the academic, residential, cultural and recreational opportunities offered by UMass Amherst.

With tours beginning at 7:45 a.m. at the Mullins Center, the full day includes campus and school and college resource fairs, academic sessions conducted by departments across campus, financial aid sessions and question-and-answer panels with current students.

Different tours cover the campus, residential areas, the Recreation Center, W.E.B. Du Bois Library, the Minuteman Marching Band Building and the Hadley Farm.

Visitors will have lunch at the four dining commons. Events run through 4 p.m.
