South African Playwright to Give Sept. 26 Lecture

Malcolm Purkey, noted South African playwright and historian of South African theatre, will give the Interdisciplinary Studies Institute's first public lecture of 2019-20.

The talk, "The Market Theatre in Post-Apartheid South Africa: Belonging and Not Belonging," will be given on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Integrative Learning Center S140.
