Shakespeare Scholar to Address Retired Faculty Association
Shakespeare scholar Anthony Burton will give a talk on “Depicting Shakespearian Hamlet Through Three Paintings” at the Retired Faculty Association meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. in Campus Center 917.
Burton is a member of the Shakespeare Association of America and a regular contributing member in seminars at annual meetings. He is the author of chapters in the books “Acts of Criticism,” “Who Hears in Shakespeare?” and “Rubrica’s Shakespeare Studies,” as well as several articles published in Shakespearean periodicals. He has conducted a class on Shakespeare at the A. F. Kinney Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies since 2000.
The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will begin with coffee, tea and cookies at 10 a.m.
