Seminar on Reducing Sports Fan Violence to Held March 26
The Psychology of Peace and Violence Program will be hosting a seminar, “How Dual Identities Reduce Rivalry-Related Fan Aggression,” on Tuesday, March 26 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Tobin Hall 423.
This free, public event will feature Johannes Berendt and Sebastian Uhrich from the Institute of Sport Economics and Sport Management at the German Sport University Cologne. Their research focuses on the psychology and behavior of sport consumers and mainly draws on social psychological theory.
In this seminar, Berendt and Uhrich will discuss their research on German soccer fan rivalries.
