Seminar on Psychiatric Epidemiology Set for Oct. 4
The department of biostatistics and epidemiology, part of the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, will host a seminar, “Pharmacoepidemiology, mental health, and older adults,” Friday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. in Life Science Laboratories N210.
The free, public talk will be given by Darmendra Ramcharran, an epidemiologist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, who will share an industry perspective on psychiatric epidemiology. His talk will focus on the challenges and opportunities when conducting observational health research among older adults with severe mental health conditions.
