Seminar on Meta-Analysis and Exercise to be Held April 5
The biostatistics and epidemiology department, part of the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, will host a seminar, “Systematic Reviews with Meta-Analysis: An Overview with Application to Exercise,” On Friday, April 5 at 12:15 p.m. in Life Science Laboratories N210. The free, public talk will be given by George A. Kelly, a professor of biostatistics at West Virginia University.
His research focuses on using a meta-analytic approach to examine the effects of exercise and physical activity on health-related disease. His talk will focus on providing an overview of the systematic review and meta-analytic process with an emphasis on exercise intervention studies.
