School of Public Policy Faculty Present at ARNOVA
Professors Brenda Bushouse, Juniper Katz and Viviana Wu represented the School of Public Policy at the 2020 Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) annual conference, “From Climate Change to Social Justice: How Citizens are Re-Shaping Nonprofits and Philanthropy in an Age of Disruption and Transition,” last week.
Bushouse took part in a roundtable on “The Tragedy of the Donative Commons? Donor Fatigue and Institutional Responses,: while Wu presented a paper, “The ‘Matthew Effect’ in Generosity: Examining the Impact on Nonprofit Capacity Across Place & Time.”
Katz presented two papers, “Multilevel Feedback Effects: The Role of #Nonprofits in Shaping Public Values” and “Viewing Nonprofit Priorities through Public Comments: The Redesign of the IRS Form 990,” and chaired a panel on “Regulatory Policy & the Nonprofit Sector: Issues, Reactions & Impacts.”
In addition, Wu was presented with an ARNOVA Emerging Scholar Award, which recognizes the potentials of the next generation of nonprofit scholars and practitioners.
