School of Public Health and Health Sciences to Host Annual Research Day

The School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS) will hold its 24th Research Day on Friday, April 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. in a virtual format. The annual event serves as an opportunity for the campus community to learn more about the research and practice conducted by SPHHS students.

This year’s Research Day will include seven oral presentations delivered live via Zoom and an interactive online poster session utilizing Flipgrid. Featuring nearly 40 posters from undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral researchers, the Flipgrid session will allow visitors to view posters in a digital format alongside pre-recorded video narratives designed to guide viewers through the presenter’s research. Audience members will have an opportunity to leave feedback and ask questions, which presenters can respond to both during and after the event.

The event will kick off at 1 p.m. with a welcome from dean Anna Maria Siega-Riz and conclude at 3 p.m. with a live awards presentation by Associate Dean for Research Susan Hankinson.

Visit the SPHHS Research Day webpage for the full program, as well as the Zoom and Flipgrid links and log-in instructions.
