Schmitter to Give Gallery Talk in Hartford on June 19
Monika Schmitter, associate professor of history of art and architecture, will give a gallery talk, “Giorgione: Revolutionary Artist of the Renaissance,” on Wednesday, June 19 at 12:30 p.m. at the Wardsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford.
Schmitter, a specialist in Italian art of the late 15th and early 16th centuries, will discuss the artistic achievements of the Italian painter as exemplified in "La Vecchia," on display in a special exhibit at the Wadsworth.
The talk is free with museum admission and will begin by the museum gift shop.
