Scavenger Hunt to Celebrate World Usability Day
The Assistive Technology Center (ATC) is sponsoring a campus-wide scavenger hunt on social media to celebrate World Usability Day, Nov. 8.
The hunt, which is open to all students, staff and faculty, runs Nov. 5-14. Use Instagram, Facebook or Twitter to have fun, win prizes, and learn more about the importance of designing an accessible and usable world that includes individuals with disabilities.
To participate:
- Choose one social media platform (Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook) to use for the scavenger hunt.
- Follow the UMass ATC on your preferred social media platform.
- Locate one example of each the 10 scavenger hunt items listed here on the UMass Amherst campus by midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 14. You must take a picture, post it on your preferred platform, tag the UMass ATC and use #WUDumass in the post to enter.
Three winners will be announced on social media on Nov. 15. Prizes are a Kindle e-reader, U-Store gift card, and Fine Arts Center show tickets.
