Ring in the New Year 1920s Style at UMass Amherst

Live entertainment, games of chance, food prepared by award-winning UMass Amherst Dining chefs and much more will be part of UMass Amherst’s New Year’s Eve Party on Dec. 31 in the Student Union Ballroom. The theme is the Roaring ’20s, and guests are encouraged to come dressed in Great Gatsby-era fashions or other elegant attire.
The event’s Master of Ceremonies will be meteorologist Brian Lapis of 22 News. Attendees can dance to the sounds of the Hipshot Band, try their hands at casino-inspired games of chance, feast on a sumptuous buffet prepared by UMass chefs, then raise a glass to 2025 with a champagne toast as the clock strikes midnight.
The event begins with cocktails from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by dinner starting at 8 p.m. General attendance tickets are $85 per person. A full experience package, which includes two event tickets and a room for the night at Hotel UMass, is $275. Tickets for children 12 or under are $35 per child. Optional rooms at Hotel UMass will be offered for registrants for $150 for the night.
