ResLife Sustainability Waste Quiz Winners Announced

Winners of the ResLife Sustainability Waste Quiz were announced Oct. 26. The quiz was launched on Oct. 6 to all 1,100 students living on campus and ran through Oct. 20.

The quiz was created to help UMass community members make the best decisions when sorting their waste on campus and responses will also be used to help highlight areas where additional education and outreach is needed.

Anyone with a perfect score was entered to win one of five UMass prize packages. Participants could take the 11-question quiz as many times as desired to get a perfect score and be entered to win.

Student winners are: Ryan Crandall, Madeleine Pereira, John Szwanke, Alexis Nurse and Megan Yee.

Each of the five prize packages include a UMass hoodie sweatshirt; a UMass Dining reusable Nalgene water bottle and face mask; reusable to-go containers; a reusable glass straw; a gift card to Antonio’s Pizza or Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters; and local sugar pumpkins and gourds for decorating or eating.
