Research in Music Series Continues with Lecture by Ricciardi

The department of music and dance will conclude its Research in Music lecture series for the semester on Wednesday, Dec. 5 with a talk by assistant professor Emiliano Ricciardi titled “Form in the Late Italian Madrigal: Torquato Tasso's Literary Theories and Their Musical Ramifications.”

The lecture will take place at 12:20 p.m. in the Old Chapel Conference Room.

Ricciardi will explore the relationship between poetic and musical form in late Italian madrigals, with a special focus on the Italian poet Torquato Tasso.

All Research in Music lectures are free and open to the public; the series will continue in the spring.
