Presentation: Campus Waste System Evaluation Summary Report

The Campus Waste System Evaluation Summary Report will be presented Friday, March 13, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., in Great Hall of Old Chapel. DSM Environmental of Windsor, Vermont, will present their findings, kicking off a community dialogue and planning process for the next decade of campus waste minimization programs. Public feedback is encouraged. Light refreshments will be provided.

The presentation is the culmination of a year-long effort to assess the effectiveness, cost, sustainability and future direction of the UMass waste management system. It will address current program performance (ex: recycling, composting and landfilling), barriers and opportunities and realistic objectives and pathways for future campus waste reduction.
