Portuges Delivers Keynote at Budapest Film Colloquium
Catherine Portuges, professor emerita of film studies and comparative literature, gave a keynote presentation, “Marta Meszaros: Transgeneration in Four Films of the 1990s,” at a colloquium on Hungarian cinema at Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, on Oct. 15.
The colloquium “Hungarian Cinema, The End of a Century: Histories, Sociologies, Aesthetics” was jointly organized by the Eotvos Lorand University department of film studies and research laboratories IRCAV at University Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle and ESCA Paris 8.
The colloquium was the first of a three-part research program on contemporary cinema in collaboration with international film scholars.
