Ph.D. Candidate Edward Murenzi Wins Poster Competition

Edward Murenzi, a Ph.D. candidate in molecular and cellular biology and veterinary and animal sciences, was awarded first place in the Agrochemical Division poster competition at the 256th national meeting of the American Chemical Society held Aug. 19-23 in Boston.

His poster was titled “Determination of toxicodynamic differences of sodium channel isoforms to pyrethroids in juvenile and adult rat brain tissue microtransplanted into Xenopus oocytes.”

Murenzi’s advisor is John M. Clark, professor of veterinary and animal sciences.
