Participants Sought for in Research on Hot Flashes, Menopause and Cardiovascular Disease Risk

The Vascular Function Research Laboratory, in a collaborative study between UMass and Smith College, is investigating whether habitual physical activity and exercise have an effect on menopausal hot flashes in perimenopausal women have an effect on and cardiovascular disease risk in perimenopausal women.

Peri-menopausal is defined as experiencing changes in menstrual cycle length, with greater than seven days different from normal but no more than 12 months in a row without a period.

Peri-menopausal women between the ages 43 and 54, are healthy, and do not have cardiovascular disease or certain risk factors for it may qualify.

Participants will receive gift cards for participating.
