Participants Sought for Driving Simulator Study
The UMass Amherst Arbella Insurance Human Performance Lab (HPL) at UMass Amherst is currently recruiting drivers who are 18-65 years old to participate in a driving simulator study being conducted by principal investigator and HPL co-director Michael Knodler.
Each participant’s session will take approximately 45-60 minutes and will include driving on a simulator and doing short questionnaires before and after. Participants will be compensated $25 after completing their session.
Eligible participants must meet the age requirements, have had a current U.S. driver’s license for at least 12 months and not have vision problems that would prevent participation in a simulator study (i.e., not legally blind). People who are prone to motion sickness in any mode of transport should not participate in this study.
Those interested should email Pravar Parashar, graduate student researcher, at pparashar@umass.edu with the subject line “MassDOT Driving Simulator Study” and include their name, age and three 60-minute time slots that would be convenient.
