Participants Needed for Hearing Assessment Study

Researchers in the department of communication disorders are looking for individuals 18 to 40 years of age to participate in a Department of Defense study of hearing assessment. The purposes of this study are to assess the capabilities of a portable hearing assessment system, and to compare that system's measurements to measurements taken using conventional, non-portable equipment.

Participation will require one visit of no more than ninety minutes in length. During this visit participants will complete tests of hearing and speech comprehension.

Participants must be healthy, native-English speakers with normal hearing. Participants will be paid $15/hour. If interested, send an email message to nwhitmal@umass.edu.
