Page Co-Authors Book on Contemporary Native Theater
Priscilla Page, director of the theater department’s multicultural theater certificate, is co-author of “Wings of Night Sky, Wings of Morning Light: A Play and A Circle of Responses,” published earlier this month.
The book, co-written Joy Harjo, includes the titular play as well as essays and interviews concerning the roots and reaches of contemporary Native theater.
Page, a writer, performer and educator of Wiyot heritage, looks at indigenous feminism, jazz and performances as influences on Harjo’s theatrical work.
