Open House for UMass Donahue Institute

Join Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy, campus leadership, staff and students to officially welcome the UMass Donahue Institute to UMass Amherst on Monday, April 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Old Chapel. Learn about the institute's unique position as a public service organization assisting government, nonprofit and corporate clients in Massachusetts, New England, the U.S. and the world. The event will feature a poster gallery, “fireside chat” with campus leadership, musical performances and refreshments.

Master of ceremonies, Johan E. Uvin, joined the UMass Donahue Institute as its director in 2021. Uvin previously served on the Obama education team under both Secretaries of Education Arne Duncan and John King, Jr. While at the Department of Education, Uvin served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the first term and as Assistant Secretary in the second term of President Obama's Administration.
