Open Forums Set for Candidates for Executive Director of Wellbeing, Access and Prevention
The three finalists for executive director of wellbeing, access and prevention will visit campus beginning Feb. 5. The campus community is invited to attend the open forums with each finalist on the dates indicated, according to David C. Vaillancourt, associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Life, who is chairing the search committee.
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Life (SACL) and serving as a member of SACL’s leadership team, the executive director for wellbeing, access and prevention leads and provides strategic direction for a cluster of programs and services supporting the psychological and physical wellness of UMass Amherst students. Areas of responsibility for this position include administrative oversight of the Center for Counseling and Psychological Health (CCPH), Center for Health Promotion (CHP), Campus Recreation and Disability Services.
The finalists and their public schedules are as follows:
Betsy Cracco, Ph.D., director of counseling and mental health services, University of Connecticut, will be visiting campus Monday, Feb. 4, and Tuesday, Feb. 5. Presentation and open forum will take place Monday, Feb. 4, 2-2:45 p.m., Commonwealth Honors College Residential Complex, 160 East.
Karen McComb, M.S., senior director student wellness, Student Affairs, University of California Riverside, will be visiting campus Wednesday, Feb. 6, and Thursday, Feb. 7. Presentation and open forum will take place Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2-2:45 p.m., Commonwealth Honors College Residential Complex, 160 East.
JoEllen Tarallo, Ed.D., executive director, Center for Health and Learning, Brattleboro, Vt., will be visiting campus Monday, Feb. 11, and Tuesday, Feb. 12. Presentation and open forum will take place Monday, Feb. 11, 2-2:45 p.m., Campus Center 165-169.
