Open Forums Scheduled for Commonwealth Honors College Dean Finalists

The search advisory committee for dean of Commonwealth Honors College is pleased to announce that three candidates have been identified as finalists. They are:

  • John Lopes, professor in the department of microbiology and associate dean for operations and graduate and postdoctoral programs in the College of Natural Sciences at UMass Amherst
  • Mari Castañeda, professor in the department of communication and associate dean for equity and inclusion in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at UMass Amherst 
  • Eva Rueschmann, professor of cultural studies and vice president/dean of the faculty at Hampshire College

The campus community is invited to attend a public forum with each of the candidates in the Commonwealth Honors College Events Hall, room 160 West (access from Roots Café) on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1:45-2:45 p.m., John Lopes
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1:30-2:30 p.m., Mari Castañeda
  • Thursday, Dec.12, 1:45-2:45 p.m., Eva Rueschmann
