Online Workshop Available for Translators and Interpreters in Public Health

In partnership with the Western MA Health and Medical Coordinating Coalition, the UMass Translation Center will be hosting an online workshop entitled “Working with Translators and Interpreters in Public Health/Healthcare Settings” on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom.

In this workshop, staff from the UMass Amherst Translation, will provide an overview of considerations regarding interpreting and translation needs, tools and best practices within a public health or healthcare setting.

Hospital emergency room and community health center intake staff, clinicians, public health staff, EMTs and other public health and emergency room staff are encouraged to attend.
