Office of Faculty Development Presents Inaugural Report
The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) is pleased to present a summary report of its inaugural year and beyond, 2019-20.
To capture OFD’s evolving and responsive programming, the report includes the activities from the office's launch in Spring 2019 through December 2020, highlighting the activities and impact of OFD’s work, adaptations to new challenges during this period, and the many faculty and staff who engaged with OFD's mission.
Michelle Budig, vice provost for faculty development, introduced the report, saying “Throughout this inaugural year+ the OFD team—faculty, staff and student assistants—focused on delivering resources and fostering engagement to support UMass faculty to thrive. By providing numerous opportunities for faculty to engage, ensuring an inclusive environment for our diverse faculty, disseminating relevant resources, and assessing and addressing faculty needs, OFD continues to invest in the outstanding scholars of this institution.”
