Office of Faculty Development Launches On-Demand Training Series
The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) has launched OFD On Demand, a new online resource that provides on-demand video training and information for faculty and librarians at UMass Amherst to access at any time.
“We heard from faculty members and librarians that they often can’t attend in-person training and workshops with their busy schedules. OFD On Demand aims to address this and increases access to our professional development resources,” said Leyla Keough-Hameed, director of faculty development.
The first resource in the series provides information about what to do in a crisis of academic freedom. If you or someone you know is the target of academic harassment, the Academic Freedom Crisis Toolkit video will provide steps and available solutions. More information can be found on OFD’s website.
This short video was created in collaboration with Jennifer Lundquist, senior associate dean for research and professor of sociology, with assistance from the Digital Media Lab.
OFD On Demand is developed in partnership with units and individuals across campus. OFD welcomes ideas to help develop an on-demand resource that benefit all faculty and librarians and asks for suggestions to be sent to [email protected].
