Obituary: MaryAnn Chudzik, Retired Maintainer in Residential Life
MaryAnn T. Chudzik, a retired maintainer in Residential Life, died June 8.
Born Sept. 8, 1943 in Amherst, she grew up on the family farm and graduated from Amherst Regional High School in 1961.
She graduated from the Cooley Dickinson Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1964 and worked at the hospital as a staff nurse on various floors until the mid-1970s. She then worked at several nursing homes and also did private duty nursing.
In 1984, she joined UMass Amherst in housing services, retiring as a maintainer in Northeast/Sylvan Residential Area in 2002.
She leaves her husband Myron; sons John M. Chudzik and wife Beth of Belchertown and Steven Chudzik and wife Colleen of Shutesbury; daughter Suzanne Chudzik of Hadley; and siblings Barbara Perchak, Peter Ostrowski and Joanne Ostrowski,
