Obituary: Eleanor Farrick, Retired Dining Commons Worker
Eleanor Farrick, 91, of Whately, a retired worker in Berkshire Dining Commons, died Nov. 23.
Born Feb. 27, 1927 in Chicopee, she was a partner with her late husband, Frank Farrick, in farming and was the first woman bus driver in the town of Whately. After her husband’s death, she joined UMass Amherst in 1978 as a dietary worker. She retired in 1996.
She leaves her daughter Susan K. Gromaski and husband David J. Gromaski and her son Jason F. Farrick Sr. and his wife Clarissa R. Farrick.
