Obituary: Antonia Wroblewski, Retired Custodian
Antonia R. Wroblewski, 86, of Whately, a retired custodian, died Jan. 12.
She was born in Sunderland, Aug. 7, 1931 and attended Deerfield High School.
In her early years, she worked the family farm and helped other local farmers harvest their crops. In 1981, she joined UMass Amherst as an academic custodian, retiring in 1996.
The widow of Chester Wroblewski Sr., she is survived by a son, Chester Jr. of Whately; four daughters, Kathleen Wroblewski of Sunderland, Rebecca Robinson and her husband Paul of Belchertown, Regina Wroblewski of Whately and Debra Barcomb of Westfield; a brother, Stanley Mieczkowski of Sunderland; and a sister Helen Yazwinski, of Deerfield.
Donations in her memory may be made to Dakin Animal Shelter or Shriners Hospital for Children.
