The ADVANCE Faculty Peer Mentoring Award, distributed to each college and the libraries, recognize the critically important work faculty members perform in mentoring and supporting their colleagues’ professional development and success and ensure that the critical work of faculty mentoring is rewarded by ADVANCE and recognized by the university.

Nominees should be faculty members who have excelled in providing faculty mentoring in their department, college or across the university. Due to ADVANCE being focused on building a more inclusive faculty, nominations should explicitly state how the mentoring improves equity and inclusion within the college and/or the university..

The ADVANCE Equitable Practices in Collaboration (EPiC) Award recognizes faculty groups that practice effective and equitable collaboration practices and the collective efforts that develop effective practices promoting equitable and inclusive collaborations. Research shows that diverse teams, in which all voices – including the voices of women and minority faculty – are heard, produce more innovative and creative knowledge.

Faculty Peer Mentoring awardees will receive $250, and EPiC awardees will receive $500. All awardees will be profiled on the ADVANCE website and congratulated during the ADVANCE Annual Distinguished Lecture.
