The nomination period is now open for the 2025–26 UMass Amherst Spotlight Scholar faculty award program. Nominations must be submitted by noon on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Co-supported by University Relations and Research and Engagement, the Spotlight Scholar program recognizes UMass Amherst faculty members who have demonstrated academic quality and leadership, and whose work seeks a positive social change. All full-time tenure- and non-tenure system UMass Amherst faculty members are eligible to be nominated, and anyone can nominate a Spotlight Scholar.
