Nominations Open for ADVANCE College Faculty Mentor Awards
The ADVANCE team invites nominations for the 2020 ADVANCE College Faculty Mentor Awards. One award will be given per college in order to recognize the critically important work faculty members perform in mentoring and supporting their colleagues’ professional development and success.
This award recognizes the vital role faculty play in mentoring their colleagues in many different forms. Mentoring relationships can be informal or formal; can occur through workshops or professionalization seminars; or through one-on-one meetings or mutual mentoring groups. All of these forms of faculty mentoring are eligible for the award. Nominations may be made by any member of the faculty for another faculty member. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Awardees will be celebrated at the ADVANCE annual lecture with Shirley Malcolm, Monday, March 30 from 4to 6 p.m, and during the Spring Faculty Awards Banquet. Winners will receive $250 as cash or research funds and will be profiled on the ADVANCE website.
Nominations are due by Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 and may be submitted on the ADVANCE website.
