Nianqiang Wu Elected to AIMBE College of Fellows
Nianqiang “Nick” Wu, Armstrong-Siadat Endowed Professor in Materials Science in the Department of Chemical Engineering, has been elected to the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) for “outstanding contributions to fundamental science of biosensors and bioengineering and transforming them to biomedical applications.”
Election to the AIMBE College of Fellows is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to medical and biological engineers, with only the top two percent in the country elected to become members. AIMBE Fellows have been awarded the Nobel Prize, the Presidential Medal of Science and the Presidential Medal of Technology and Innovation, among other honors.
Wu, along with 152 colleagues, will be formally inducted into the AIMBE Fellow Class of 2022 at the institute’s annual event on March 25.
