New Moms on the Move Study Recruiting Participants

Researchers in the School of Public Health and Health Sciences are seeking volunteers for the New Moms on the Move Pilot Study. The study seeks to discover whether physical activity, diet and other lifestyle factors impact the risk of breast cancer in breastfeeding women.

The entire study can be done from the comfort of home, with no face-to-face contact with researchers.

All participants complete surveys and provide two samples each of breast milk and infant stool. They will also be asked to wear a wrist-worn activity monitor for seven continuous days at baseline and again, eight weeks later. All participants will receive financial compensation for their time.

If you are breastfeeding an infant that is between two months and up to five months old and live within 20 miles of Amherst, MA, please contact researchers for more information about the study.
