Nagurney to Give Two Plenary Talks in England

Anna Nagurney, the John F. Smith Memorial Professor of Operations Management at the Isenberg School of Management, will be a plenary speaker at two events in England in September.

On Sept. 9, she will deliver the plenary talk “Network Journeys: For the Love of Operational Research” at the Inaugural Early Career Workshop at Lancaster University in Lancaster, England. The workshop is sponsored by The OR Society and Lancaster University. Workshop attendees include finishing doctoral students, postdocs and lecturers from the U.K., New Zealand, the U.S., Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.

On Sept. 11, she will give the opening plenary talk, “Operational Research: The TransfORmative Discipline for the 21st Century” at the OR60 “Anniversary” Conference, also at Lancaster University. This is the 60th conference of The OR Society.

The U.K.’s OR Society is the world's oldest-established learned society catering to the Operational Research (O.R.) profession and one of the largest in the world, with 2,700 members in 66 countries.
