Socialite ... Cat lover ... Guitar hero.

Mrs. Smith is coming to campus for a special performance on Friday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Curtain Theater.

Mrs. Smith, who is the creation of theater department alumnus David Hanbury, will be performing free, and the show is open to the community.

Kidnapped from her Upper East Side penthouse and held for ransom by a Norwegian death metal band, Mrs. Smith suffered the Stockholm Syndrome granting her extraordinary musical abilities. She uses her mad guitar skills and vocal stylings to express the grief and rage she feels over the disappearance of her beloved cat Carlyle. Why aren’t you helping find him?

Mrs. Smith’s recent appearances include The Cutting Room in New York City, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, Guitar Gods Festival, Feedback Fest (Costa Mesa, California), Cafe Mojito (Bologna, Italy), and Club Helsinki (Hudson, New York).

She has appeared in international ads for GUCCI.
