Mass Aggie Virtual Workshop Teaches Proper Fruit Tree Pruning
AMHERST, Mass. – A virtual workshop, “Home Orchard Pruning,” is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 13, as part of UMass Extension’s popular home gardening series presented by Mass Aggie Seminars 2021.
Growing fruit in the home garden is enjoying a renaissance, and knowing how to prune the trees is one of the key steps to success. UMass Extension educator Jon Clements will teach participants the principles and practices of proper pruning of fruit trees, including apple, pear and peach.
The virtual workshop costs $30, or $25 if payment is made by mailing in a check. This workshop also can be combined with the Four-Part Home Orchard Series for the reduced price of $100.
