AMHERST, Mass. – Learn how to prune fruit trees at a workshop scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon at Park Hill Orchard, 82 Park Hill Road, Easthampton.

Jon Clements and Liz Garofalo of UMass Extension will lead the session, “Home Orchard Pruning,” one of a series of hands-on home gardening workshops presented by Mass Aggie Seminars 2019.

Successful fruit growing requires proper tree pruning. Participants will have the chance to do some actual pruning to gain experience and confidence in the process. Part of the workshop will take place outside, so attendees should dress appropriately for potentially wet, cold and muddy conditions.

The workshop costs $45. Register at UMassGarden.com.
