Steven Lemay, central heating plant (CHP) plant manager, recently was a presenter in an APPA Leadership in Educational Facilities webinar. The talk, “Operations Intelligence Platform in a Central Heating Plant (UMass case),” was hosted on Thursday. Dec, 10.

The webinar addressed best practices to operate a cogeneration CHP based on a real time system. Calculation of energy efficiency in real time and operations advisory based on simulations were among the tools which were presented.
