Kane Receives Grant to Support Study of Arboriculture Safety

Brian Kane, professor of commercial arboriculture in the department of environmental conservation, has been award a $15,000 TREE Fund grant to support his work collecting and analyzing arboriculture safety standards worldwide.

The “Arboricultural safety around the world” project will analyze the standards to look for common safety concerns and ways to address them. The project will serve as a starting point for future investigations into safe working practices in arboriculture.

Tree Research and Education Endowment (TREE) Fund is a 501(c)3 charity dedicated to the discovery and international dissemination of new knowledge in urban forestry and arboriculture.
