Isenberg’s Anna Nagurney Selected to Deliver 2024 Blackett Lecture at the Royal Society in London
Anna Nagurney, the Eugene M. Isenberg Chair in Integrative Studies and the Director of the Virtual Center for Supernetworks in the Isenberg School of Management, has been selected to deliver the 2024 Blackett Lecture at the Royal Society in London.
Hosted by The Operational Research Society, the Blackett Memorial Lecture is one of the most prestigious events in the field of operational research (OR). The annual event brings together leading academics, practitioners and industry experts to explore cutting-edge developments and innovations. Nagurney's lecture, “NetwORks and Policies: OR to the Rescue,” will take place on Dec. 5.
The lecture is named after Lord Patrick Blackett, who was a physicist, Nobel Prize winner and former president of the Royal Society. Blackett is considered to be a founder of OR in the U.K. during World War II.
