Isenberg School of Management Launches Post Graduate Program in Project Management, in Collaboration with Simplilearn

AMHERST, Mass. – The Isenberg School of Management hasannounced that it is partnering with Simplilearn, a global provider of digital skills training, to offer a six-month comprehensive program providing learners with the practical and digital skills they need to lead complex transformational projects and to become digital-age project leaders.
The Post Graduate Program in Project Managementis an innovative product of Isenberg’s 20-plus years of experience in online graduate business education joining forces with Simplilearn’sBlended Learning model, which offers a combination of online self-paced videos, live virtual classes, and hands-on projects. With more than 150 hours of learning, the program includes access to masterclass sessions from Isenberg’s top faculty and interactive peer learning through group projects and discussions. The program also offers one mid-program project and one capstone project to complete the six-month learning experience.
The program focuses on four main areas of managing and leading complex projects: managing complexity and delivering value, cost-quality-risk trade-off, understanding and crafting strategy, and implementing best practices. The curriculum’s core topics include project management, quality management, risk management (aligned with the official body of knowledge prescribed by the Project Management Institute), and agile best practices. Beyond the core topics, the curriculum equips participating professionals with an essential understanding of program management and digital transformation that will reinvent the customer experience.
Isenberg School of Management Dean Anne Massey noted, “Information technology is an essential enabler of business success. Consequently, individuals in charge of operational strategy are increasingly important and in-demand. By establishing a partnership with Simplilearn through the Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Project Management, we hope to provide learners an efficient, flexible program that gives them the ability to enhance their skills and be even more prepared to work in today’s dynamic global economy.”
Upon completing the program, participants will receive a combined Post Graduate Program certificate of completion from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Simplilearn. They will also earn credits towards the online MBA program at the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, and they will receive official membership in the UMass Amherst Alumni Association.
Industry reports estimate that there will be 22 million jobs for project management professionals by 2027.
