‘Introduction to Survival Analysis’ Offered by Center for Research on Families
The Center for Research on Families will host an introduction to survival analysis, also referred to as time-to-event analysis, as a seminar via Zoom on Friday, Nov. 12, from noon to 2 p.m.
This method is used when researchers are interested in if an event occurred and the specific timing of that event by incorporating data from multiple time points across participants.
The seminar will cover:
- Introduction to the basics of survival analysis
- Model fit and interpretation of survival curves and models
- Guided analysis portion using the Worcester Heart Attack Study
Output and syntax will be reviewed in both SAS and Stata, and we will provide syntax in R and Mplus.
